
Parris Rawls, a second year member of the Dallas Diesel HS Girls team, has been selected by STUDENTathleteWorld to represent the United States in the 2017 United World Games, an International Sporting Competition to be held in Germany, Austria, and Italy on June 18-28, 2017.
Student-athletes are chosen for the team based on a combination of their athletic ability as well as their academics, leadership ability, and character. At this time Parris carries a 2.9 GPA, she was nominated and selected for the Military Youth of the Year at her Youth Center on Ft. Hood. She is the president of the Keystone Club, she was nominated and selected Keystone Club member Youth of the Year. She has been selected to represent Ft. Hood Bronco Youth Center in the 2017 Keystone Youth Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill February 28 – March 5, 2017. She was nominated to attend the 2017 National Youth Leadership Forum for National Security, Diplomacy, Intelligence and Defense in Washington D.C. She also has over 100hrs of community service from August 2016 to the present date. She has proven that she is more than capable to represent the United States on and off the court. This trip includes not only the international sport competition, but also sightseeing and opportunities for personal growth and leadership development through international travel.
